In 1945, Duralex invented the glass tempering process, a manufacturing method that produces virtually unbreakable glassware. The procedure involves heating the glass to around 1292 degrees Fahrenheit, then cooling it quickly with cold air ventilation. Known as the “original French tumblers,„ Duralex Glasses are timeless icons of designs—thanks to their versatility (they hold both warm and cold beverages) and the way they feel extremely comfortable in your hand. Since their founding, Duralex has produced all of their products in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, in the heart of France.
